We got a kiddie pool yesterday, and boy, is it worth every penny! We have a neighborhood pool, that is free and close, but it is always crowded, doesn't open until 11am, and it is such a hassle sometimes to load everything/one up. This was great...we got in our suits, and went in the backyard, at about 9:30am (hey, it was already 90 degrees!). Benson loved it...just sat there and splashed and crawled around for nearly 2 hours! Gavin came over too and he and Bailey had so much fun together.
Gavin and Bailey mostly ran through the pool on the way to playing soccer, jumping on the trampoline, and loading up the squirters (which I used to squirt them and keep them cool on the trampoline). Benson discovered the soccer goal, and thought it was oh-so-cool (it says "SCORE!" when you make a goal).

Best of all....I got to work on tanning my cave flesh, and the kids were totally pooped out afterwards (and starving)!

Thank you for the idea for Aidan's birthday gift--that would be the soccer goal! With a birthday this week and starting soccer next month, it is perfect--and nice to know that Ayla will enjoy it too when she gets a little older!! Thank goodness for Fisher Price, Target and Looli's great idea!
